  • Basic Litigation Knowledge: This test is geared towards those working in the litigation field as paralegals or legal assistants. The test covers basic terminology as well as scenarios in which knowledge of court proceedings, preparation of legal documents, effective modes of research, legal writing and ethics are encountered and assessed
  • Legal Abbreviations: This test requires the correct identification of abbreviations in relation to words common to the legal industry. Acronyms are also addressed herein. This test is appropriate to administer to those who work in the legal profession in any capacity
  • Legal Assistant: This assessment is designed to verify a person’s general knowledge of law practices. Topics include legal definitions, contracts, agreements, litigation, torts, and ethical codes
  • Legal Staff Skills: This test is geared towards those working in the litigation field as legal assistants or legal secretaries. The test covers basic responsibilities as well as knowledge of basic elements of the legal system. Topics include legal knowledge, legal writing, software utilized, general legal office skills, and legal staff structure
  • Legal Vocabulary: This test covers a variety of topics such as criminal law, personal injury terminology, general litigation, and wills and estates. Test takers are asked to determine the proper word or words that fit different scenarios and situations. This test is appropriate to administer to those working within the legal industry and have a general understanding of legal terminology and procedures
  • Paralegal Skills: This test is designed for professionals that are currently working as paralegals. It assesses a person’s knowledge of the functions of a paralegal and the legal profession, contract law, tort law, legal writing, constitutional law, and legal research

Certain skills are foundational to specific discipline, in that someone applying for a role needs to have some level of expertise in these skills as a baseline to even be considered qualified as a candidate. In legal roles, these foundational skills include:

  • Office Grammar and Spelling: This test measures a person’s knowledge of spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and word usage. This test is designed for people who need verbal and written skills in order to perform a job successfully
  • Writing Sample – Persuasive: This test showcases the writer’s ability to use persuasive language in an internal correspondence. The final sample, in memo form, will provide an idea of the writer’s skill level in providing justifications, communicating desires and using professional language toward the ends of persuasion
  • Basic Office Skills: This test measures basic math and verbal skills. Topics include Basic Math (adding numbers, subtracting fractions), Business Math (business related word problems), Filing Skills (recognizing alphabetical order), Grammar, and Spelling
  • Logical Reasoning – Decision Making: This assessment measure’s a person’s approach to making decisions and their ability to use factual information and ethical dilemmas to determine the best course of action for each scenario
  • Logical Reasoning – Drawing Conclusions: This assessments presents a series of statements or a passage in which a person must make the most logical conclusion based on what has been presented
  • Business Etiquette: This test assesses the manners and behaviors required in the workplace. Topics covered include Client Etiquette, Effective Communication, Professional Appearance, Social Communication, Phone Etiquette, Office Ethics, and Professional Correspondence. It’s appropriate for any applicant, from entry level to executive level, that is required to know appropriate business behaviors
  • Microsoft ExcelFast, mobile assessment that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-200 Excel 365/2019 Certification
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Fast, mobile test that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-300 Powerpoint 365/2019 Certification
  • Microsoft WordFast, mobile test that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-100 Word 365/2019 Certification
