Lodging and Resorts

  • Customer Service: this test measures the candidate’s understanding of and attitude about customer service practices
  • Customer Service Mindset: this test measures the understanding of and attitude about customer service practices. This survey is designed to measure the customer service aptitude of any CSR
  • Food Production: This test is designed to assess a test taker’s knowledge of the production of food including FDA regulations
  • Food and Beverage Service: this test that measures the knowledge of meal planning, service preparation, types of service equipment, and types of beverages
  • Front Office Management: this test that measures the knowledge of front office operations
  • General Maintenance: this test is based on four different areas of knowledge; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance problems (for example, changing light fixtures)
  • Housekeeping: this test that measures the knowledge of housekeeping activities such as cleaning, laundry, room maintenance and routine checks

  • Active Listening: this test assesses the test taker’s ability to listen attentively, infer meaning, and translate into a course of action
  • Cash Handling: this  test is designed to assess a test taker’s ability to recognize the various bills and coins of U.S. currency, to add and subtract using bills and coins, and to accurately make change
  • Customer Service: this test measures the candidate’s understanding of and attitude about customer service practices
  • Food Service Knowledge: this test that measures the knowledge of meal planning, service preparation, types of service equipment, and types of beverages
  • Telephone Etiquette: this test evaluates a test taker’s communication skills along with their ability to recognize proper telephone etiquette and the best way to handle calls

Certain skills are foundational to specific discipline, in that someone applying for a role needs to have some level of expertise in these skills as a baseline to even be considered qualified as a candidate. In hospitality roles, these foundational skills include:

  • Basic Computer Literacy: This simulation measures knowledge of general computer terminology, processes, and applications and the ability to perform certain operations. This simulation consists of both multiple choice and simulation-based questions, and includes the following topics: Application Software, Computer Terms, Internet and Email, Managing Files, Operating System, and Parts of the Computer
  • Following Written Instructions: This test determines the skill level of a person in reading, assessing, and applying written instructions to clerical tasks. The test focuses on tasks between organization, order of action (prioritizing), and compilation of information (documentation)
  • Listening Skills: This test assesses a person’s ability to listen attentively, infer meaning, and translate into course of action
  • Microsoft Excel: Fast, mobile assessment that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-200 Excel 365/2019 Certification
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Fast, mobile test that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-300 Powerpoint 365/2019 Certification
  • Microsoft Word: Fast, mobile test that tests a candidate’s knowledge of the domains measured by the Microsoft MO-100 Word 365/2019 Certification
  • Office Grammar and Spelling: This test measures a person’s knowledge of spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, and word usage. This test is designed for people who need verbal and written skills in order to perform a job successfully
