A step-by-step guide on how to create an Assessment Link.
- Login to your HighMatch account.
- Click the Links tab on the side menu located on the left-hand side of the screen.
- At the top of the screen, Click Create Assessment Link.
- During the Assessment Link creation process, you’ll need to go through five steps:
- Name
- Assessments
- Participants
- Welcome
- Reports
Step 1: Name
- Fill in the Link’s naming information to form the URL your participants will open to self-register:
- Link Name: A descriptive title of your Assessment Link.
- Unique Link ID: A unique case-sensitive value that identifies your URL.
- Tip: If you’re having trouble coming up with an ID, click Create Random to generate a random ID.
- Tip: By default your URL will include both the link name and unique link ID, click Make Link Shorter to remove your Link’s name for the URL. An optional Assessment Link URL Description field will appear allowing you to add a short descriptor to your URL if needed.
- Clicking the Show Expiration Setting button will make two menus appear:
- Optional: In the Expiration section, set when the Assessment Link expires.
- Note: The link will be automatically disabled when it passes the expiration date. By default, new Assessment Links have a ten-year expiration.
- Optional: In the Maximum Redemptions section, set the maximum number of times the Assessment Link can be redeemed by participants.
- Note: The link will be automatically disabled when it reaches the maximum number of permitted redemptions. By default, Assessment Links do not have a maximum redemption limit.
- Optional: In the Expiration section, set when the Assessment Link expires.
- Click Next once done.
Step 2: Assessments
- Select one or more assessments you wish to assign to this Assessment Link that participants must complete after redeeming the Link.
- Tip: If you select multiple assessments, an option will be available to drag and drop the order of the assessments that will be administered to participants while progressing through the assessments.
- Click Next once done.
Step 3: Participants
- Select the unique identifier option participants will provide to identify themselves when redeeming this Assessment Link in the Participant Identification section. There are three options available:
- Email Address: Participants will start/resume assessments using their email address.
- Phone Number: Participants will start/resume assessments using their phone number.
- ID: Participants will start/resume assessments using a unique ID (such as a badge number).
- Note: When the ID option is selected you’ll be able to set the minimum and maximum of characters for the ID.
- In the Contact Information section, mix and match the contact data participants must provide when redeeming this Assessment Link.
- Note: the options available will change based on the identifier option you selected in the Participant Identification section.
- Choose the user from your HighMatch account who will be assigned to participants redeeming this Assessment Link in the Assign Participants To section.
- The Engagement section will allow you to choose if you’d like to send completion reminders to your participants.
- Note: You must collect an email address and/or phone number to send reminders.
- Click Next once done.
Step 4: Welcome
- Fully customize each aspect of your Assessment Link’s messaging:
- Welcome Page: This page is presented to your participants when they open the Assessment Link URL. We recommend briefly welcoming your participants, explaining your process, and setting expectations.
- Participant Identification: This section allows you to customize the text your participants will see when entering their identifier and whether to confirm their entry.
- Tip: You’ll be able to select if you’d like to require a confirmation once the participant enters their identifier to ensure it is correct. You’ll be able to customize the text for this area as well.
- Contact Information Page: After identifying themselves, your participants will be asked to provide additional contact information. This section allows you to customize the title and message your participants will see on this page.
- Click Next once done.
Step 5: Reports
- Optional: Select the assessment report delivery option:
- The first option will send an email of the report to the user selected in the Assign Participants To section back in Step 3: Participants.
- The second option enables you to enter any other person’s email, thus allowing the report to be sent to other people in your company.
- Click Create Assessment Link to create your Assessment Link.
