Berke provides four different types of reports and guides depending on your hiring needs; Job Fit, Spotlight, Participant, and Interview. Job Fit Reports compare candidate assessment scores with your company’s custom job profiles to show you how well they might align with what you are looking for in an employee. Spotlight Reports break down a candidate’s personality without comparing them to any specific job. Participant Reports are designed for sharing with candidates and employees for growth and goal discussions. Interview Guides are available for both Spotlight or Job Fit Reports and help facilitate getting to know a candidate better based on their assessment results. Let’s take a closer look at each.
Job Fit Reports
Job Fit Reports become available any time a candidate completes a Job Fit Assessment. You can view a candidate’s Job Fit Report from the People tab inside your Berke account by clicking on the “Reports” button next to that person’s name. You will know they have a Job Fit Report available if they also have a Job Fit Score present next to their name.
When the report is opened, you will immediately be able to see a visual breakdown of the candidate’s assessment results matched against a specific job. Grey bars on the right represent the target ranges designated for the position on a trait by trait basis, while black squares mark where the candidate scored by comparison. The closer the two overlay, the better the match. You can see the correlation at a glance by noting the icons on the left next to the trait name. A green check indicates a solid match and a yellow exclamation, a slight mismatch, while a red X signals a significant mismatch.
Trait rankings
Traits are ranked according to their importance to a job’s functions from highest to lowest. As a trait’s impact on a job match decreases, it has less effect on the candidate’s overall match score. For example, if a candidate had slight or significant mismatches in all of a job’s lower impact traits, but had strong matches for its high and medium impact traits, the candidate would likely still score well enough to be considered a high fit for the position. It is always encouraged to discuss these mismatches in interviews with a candidate however if there is concern about the fit. That’s where Interview Guides can be incredibly resourceful as they are tailored with questions meant to address those exact issues.
Below the visual graphs of the candidate’s results is a list reviewing every trait’s result in order of impact, followed by a more descriptive review of how each of these results works in tandem with one another to give you insight into the overall candidate. Lastly, there is a section devoted only to the areas a candidate mismatched in and a summary of how this might affect them as a worker.
Every Job Fit and Spotlight Report ends with an Interview Guide custom-made to accompany their results.
Organized reading
You can skip around to different areas of the report using the navigation menu that appears to the left of the report. There is also a search bar available in case a specific phrase is being sought.
Compare candidates to multiple positions
Dropdowns at the top of the report allow you to change report types. You can also change out job profiles to compare the candidate to other jobs you might have available.
Finally, there are three buttons available for downloading, emailing, or printing the current report.
Spotlight Reports
Any time a candidate completes an assessment, a Spotlight Report becomes available, even if the candidate originally completed a Job Fit Assessment. You can use the dropdowns at the top of the report window to change the report to a Spotlight Report if needed.
Defined results
Because Spotlight Reports do not compare the candidate against any particular job, they focus entirely on the candidate themselves as a worker. At the top of the report is a visual graph representing the candidate’s results. Black squares denote the candidate’s placement within a given trait. Trait tails on either the left or right will highlight in bold if the candidate gravitates particularly strongly towards one over another.
Below this is a broken-down list of all the traits with accompanying descriptions of the candidate’s strengths as they pertain to their results. Following this is a more descriptive review of how each of these results works in tandem with one another to give you insight into the overall candidate.

Participant Reports
You can share this type of report with your assessment participants. The content is non-technical, positive, and friendly. It is useful for coaching and team building, or as an incentive to complete the assessment. This report does not include job fit information or interview material. It is addressed directly to your participant (“You are…”), so it is not intended for use by a hiring manager.
The sections within the Participant Report mimic closely those within the Spotlight Report with an overall results graph, list of strengths as they pertain to the candidate’s results, and overall descriptive review of the candidate as a whole.

Interview Guides
An Interview Guide comes with every assessment, but with slight differences depending on if the resulting report is a Job Fit Report or a Spotlight Report. Job Fit Interview Guides will have an additional description area for each trait if the participant’s score was not a strong match detailing more about what that mismatch might entail for the participant’s work style. Spotlight Interview Guides will not have this since a job comparison is not present. Instead, it will skip directly to suggested statements for discussion and questions surrounding them to delve further during the interview.
