This integration deployment guide will provide you with a preview of what to expect for connecting Bullhorn with HighMatch.
Note: Steps 1-3 cover the enabling and configuring section of the HighMatch integration for Bullhorn. Step 4 covers the usage of the integration involving manually sending assessments to candidates.
You may skip Steps 1-3 if you wish to just learn about using the integration.
HighMatch Usage Flow Summary
- The integration will trigger an assessment order when the candidate is manually moved into the HighMatch assessment applicant workflow by a recruiter, and an invitation for the assessment will be sent to the candidate.
- HighMatch will display the assessment status of the HighMatch stage in Bullhorn and update the candidate’s profile if the assessment was successfully sent to the candidate or not.
- When the candidate has completed the assessment, HighMatch will post the assessment score and detailed report to the Bullhorn HighMatch assessment results stage on the candidate profile.

Bullhorn requires you to schedule a meeting with a Bullhorn implementation specialist or a support representative who will walk you through the entire process of both enabling and using the HighMatch integration on Bullhorn.

Process Preview
Step 1: Reach out to the Bullhorn Team
As part of Bullhorn’s services, their team will help guide you through the enabling process as well as show you how to use the HighMatch integration on Bullhorn. Here is some of what to expect:
- A Bullhorn representative will gather basic information.
- Here you can also schedule a kickoff call to ask any questions as well as to discuss the following:
- Different Integration Workflows.
- Technical Configurations.
- Usage Demos and Validations.
Step 2: Bullhorn will work with HighMatch to Enable the Connector
Bullhorn will send all of the information, as well as API details, on your behalf to HighMatch. HighMatch will configure and enable the webhook, and confirm with Bullhorn that the integration has been enabled and is working correctly.

Step 3: Testing
Another part of Bullhorn’s services includes user testing. Here your Bullhorn representative will help you test the HighMatch integration with a test job and test candidate to learn how to use the connector.
The following steps will be covered during testing:
- Using the HighMatch widget on Bullhorn.
- Setting and initiating HighMatch assessments in your applicant workflow.
- Viewing the candidate’s assessment status and confirming the assessment was sent successfully.
- Receiving and viewing a candidate’s assessment score and detailed report on their profile.

Step 4: Manually Send HighMatch Assessments to Candidates
Candidates are sent assessments that have been manually initiated by a recruiter via the HighMatch widget. We recommend testing the following steps on a test candidate.
To learn how to manually send an assessment, first:
- Go to the test candidate you would like to send the assessment(s) to.
- Click the More menu button on the right side of the widget > select HighMatch.
- Here you will have a dropdown menu of the assessment assigned to your account. Click on the dropdown menu > Select the assessment of your choice.
- Once the assessment is selected, click Submit.
- Below on the page, you will see the sent assessment’s name, status, result, etc.
Note: You may send multiple assessments to a candidate.
